Desired Want Ads 2016 Holiday Season is upon us, in the United States celebrations begin at Thanksgiving through January 1st of the New Year.

Family reunions, Dinner parties, Office parties, Concerts, Pageant, Plays, Christmas and Religious celebrations will be in full swing for the next 7 weeks world- wide.

All of these celebrations have a few things in common, they involve family, friends, Organizations of Religious and secular groups of people, joining together for one common event. For a few hours, a day or for an extended period of time during the Holiday Season, in a venue location.

An Award Banquet, a Wedding Reception, a Black Tie Affair, a Night of Elegance, an Annual Social Event, an Extravagant Affair, a Production are words used to describe a large highly decorative social event.

For the average individual when we hear of an extravagant event it’s normally associated with an annual celebration or a wedding, usually the first wedding of a young bride. Although it’s not surprising to see an extravagant second or third wedding for the average woman, being as lavish and extravagant as her first wedding.

With the increase use of professional Wedding Planners and Event Coordinators, simple events are now seen in a light of an elegant formal affair where the venue hall is highly decorative with Chandelier, lights, exotic flowers and colors to match a specific theme.

The term go big or go home, has taken on a new meaning, fueling the event is not just a Video crew and a Photographer, but Cell Phones, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Even if the host wants to be discrete, by staging certain photographs to give the appearance of opulence to those not in attendance, we all know that a cell phone picture from one quest would reveal the truth of a simple low budget event.

Researching the subject matter, we read that an Event Planner was hired to cater an elegant Annual Award Dinner, invitations were sent out months in advance, venue location was booked and other preparations were made catering for 800 guest.

As the months drew closer, less than half the guest responded.

Follow up attempts were made to entice guest to respond still to no avail.

Finally the Committee decide to scale down the affair, canceling the Banquet Hall.

Shortly before the event, a larger number of RSVP’s confirm that they will be in attendance. The event has now taken on a new life,

Food and drinks were an easy catering fix, finances were still within budget making it easier to accommodate all late respondents.

The Coordinator was the least bit worried about transforming any available space into a spectacular Elegant Hall, keeping in tune with the theme of the event.

Unfortunately, the greatest challenge for the Event Planner proved to be finding a new location, in the area; on such short notice during the busy booked holiday season.

Venue, Location, Space and Accommodations are the most challenging to acquire on short notice.

Understanding these common challenge within the Industry, unforeseen circumstances, inclement weather and disaster can easily disrupt the most detailed planned event from being executed.

Finding a Unique Property

Previously I was a Real Estate Agent. A neighbor once came to me with Thousands of dollars; cash in hand, asking me to find him a unique property in a specific location. I was engaged in developing this website therefore, I referred him to active Colleagues. Later I found out he had already gone to several of them without finding his desired property.

This experience highlighted the fact that although the Multiple Listing Service is good, it still offers a small pool of available properties, shared among Realtors at any given time on the market.

An even smaller pool of Exclusive Listings are offered by each office.

Thankfully, For Sale by Owner is another source of inventory to the market.

The newest trend to increase inventory to the market, was displayed during the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Many British Home Owners rented out part of their home to facilitate the needs of visitors in their City during the games.

New York City Home Owners, are renting out rooms by the day and weekend to facilitate out of town visitors for large Concerts and Social events in the City.

Homeowners with properties close to Universities and Colleges are another source of available listings. Homeowner often post their listing on Campus, to facilitate students on campus.

We see Property Owners becoming enlightened to the needs of Property Users, which allows them to maintain ownership of their property; while taking full advantage of the opportunity to supplement their income.
